The “Scarabée d’Or” project, made it possible to rebuild a mythical vehicle – the Citroën B2 10 HP model K1 – the first car to have crossed the Sahara desert in December 1922.

It was with pleasure that we were able to attend, as a partner, the inauguration of the “Scarabée d’Or” project. An opportunity to congratulate all the students and professionals who have successfully completed this major 4-year project! Students from the “Ecole Nationale Supérieur des Arts et Métiers” were involved in the engineering part and those from the technical high school of “Château d’Epluches” in the mechanical part in the reconstruction of the mythical vehicle – the Citroën B2 10 HP model K1 – the first car to have crossed the Sahara desert in December 1922.

Collaborative work around the same objective is the daily life of the teams within SILVEO, which is why we were keen to support this project and to bring, in addition to financial support, our team spirit and experience to the students involved in this ambitious project.

It is now possible to admire this work at the” Musée des Arts et Métiers” in Paris and then in Citroën Héritage’s offices.
